# How to Ungroup in Canva

> To ungroup items in Canva, open an existing design, select the grouped elements by holding SHIFT, click Group on the floating toolbar, and then click Ungroup from the same toolbar to separate them.

## Steps

1. Open an existing design.
2. Click on the elements you want to group by holding 'SHIFT' on your keyboard.
3. On the floating toolbar, click 'Group'.
4. To ungroup, click 'Ungroup' from the floating toolbar.
