# How to Use Cohorts in Amplitude Charts

> To use cohorts in Amplitude charts, locate the Segment By section in the Chart Editor's Segmentation tab, select your segment and its In Cohort option, tick the checkboxes for your preferred cohorts, and tap Apply to use them as filters.

## Steps

1. Inside Amplitude's Chart Editor, find the 'Segment By' section under the Segmentation tab.
2. Choose the specific Segment you wish to use, then tap its corresponding 'In Cohort' option.
3. After that, choose the cohorts you prefer to use. Simply tick the checkbox beside them.
4. Once done, tap 'Apply' to proceed.
5. After completing these steps, the selected cohorts will be used as filters in your chart's segmentation.
