# Google Tag Manager - Getting Started

> To set up Google Tag Manager, go to the Accounts tab and create an account, add your account and container names, and click Create. Accept the terms, view the code snippet, copy the head and body code, paste them into your web page HTML, and enter your website URL to test.

## Steps

1. Go to the Accounts tab and click on Create Account
2. Add Account Name here e.g. company name.
3. Add Container name . e.g. your website's domain
4. Hit Create
5. Accept the Terms by checking the box here
6. Hit Yes to view the Code snippet
7. Click here to copy the head code
8. Click here to copy the body code
9. Paste code snippets before <head> and after the <body> section of your web page's HTML output.
10. Click here if you want to view the code snippet again
11. Use this field to enter your website url and test your code
