# How to Use Linear's API Tokens

> To use Linear's API tokens, navigate to your profile icon and select Settings. Click Security and access, then go to Personal API keys and click New API key. Enter a name for your API in the key field, click Create, and wait for the success notification.

## Steps

1. Navigate to your profile icon.
2. Select 'Settings'.
3. Click 'Security & access'.

5. Click on 'New API key'.
