# How to Use @mentions in Linear

> To notify teammates in Linear, open an issue, go to the comments section, and type the @ symbol followed by their name. Select their name from the dropdown list and click the arrow icon to post the comment, triggering a notification in the app.

## Steps

1. Open an issue and click on it.
2. Go to the comments section.
3. Type @ followed by the teammate's name.
4. Select their name from the dropdown list.

6. Once done, they will receive a notification in Linear.
