1. Log in to your Jira account.

2. On your dashboard, determine the project you want to make a spike issue.

3. Select "Project settings" on the bottom left of the screen.

4. Proceed by choosing the "Issue types" tab.

5. Click on "Add issue type" to move forward with the next step.

6. Select "Create issue type."

7. Fill in accordingly. Click "Change icon" and pick the desired image, then proceed by selecting the "Create" button.

8. You have now created a Spike Issue. You can now fill in the necessary data as desired.
