How Do Story Points Work in Jira

Open the issue that you want to work with.
In the issue details, click 'Configure'.
Under 'Fields, go to the search bar and enter 'Story points'.
Click 'Story point estimate'.
Select 'Save changes'.
Now, the story points are assigned to that specific issue, and they will contribute to your sprint or project's total points estimation.
