Log in to your ConvertKit account and click 'Create a new'.
From the drop-down menu, select 'Broadcast'.
Add a subject line.
When composing your email, type the personalization tag by inserting the first name in the email body.
Click 'Preview' to see how your email looks.
Click 'Preview as Subscriber' to see how the first name appears.
Click 'Continue' once you're all set.
Click 'Send Broadcast'.
