How to Add Secrets to Github



Guide

  1. Go to the main page of your repository on GitHub.

  2. Click on the 'Settings' tab at the top of the repository.

  3. In the left sidebar, scroll down and click on 'Secrets and variables' under 'Security'.

  4. Select 'Actions' to access GitHub Actions secrets.

  5. Click on 'New repository secret'.

  6. Enter a name for your secret and use all caps for convention.

  7. Enter the value.

  8. Click 'Add secret' to save it.

  9. Adding secrets ensures that sensitive data such as API keys, tokens, or credentials are securely stored and used within your workflows without being hard-coded in your repository.
