How to Automate Mailchimp



Guide

  1. On your dashboard, click 'Create'.

  2. Name your automation.

  3. Click 'Choose A Starting Point'

  4. Choose the type of automation you want to create.

  5. Check the 'Include imported contacts' and click 'Save Starting Point'.

  6. To select your segment, click 'Filter who can enter' underneath your first trigger.

  7. Then click 'Add filter' to create a new one.

  8. Filter by 'Signup source'.

  9. Once you choose your filtering option, select the parameters you want to use, and click 'Use segment'.

  10. Select 'Add a journey point'.

  11. Click 'Send email' at this stage—although you can also send an SMS, tag customers, send a survey, or create more complex rules.

  12. Then select your schedule which days of the week you would like the first email to send, and whether you would like to send the email at specific times.

  13. Click 'Save' to proceed.

  14. Click 'Close'.

  15. Once satisfied, click 'Send Test Emails'.
