1. Select the chart you want to customize (click on the chart or press Ctrl + A).

2. Click the plus sign and select "Axis", then "Primary Horizontal" to open the Format Axis pane.

3. In the Format Axis pane, go to the "Axis Options" tab to adjust the X-axis settings.

4. Choose "Text Axis" or "Date Axis" based on your data type.

5. Click "Close" to apply the changes.
