1. Select the project that has the active sprint you want to close.

2. On the left-hand menu, click on 'Active sprints'. This will display the current sprint and all the issues within it.

3. At the top-right corner of the sprint panel, you’ll see a 'Complete Sprint' button. Click on it.

4. A dialogue box will appear summarizing the sprint, including both completed and incomplete issues.

5. Jira will ask you what you want to do with the open issues. Click the drop-down menu and choose where to move the issues either 'Backlog' or 'New sprint'.

6. Once you have chosen where to move the open issues, click 'Complete sprint' to apply the changes.

7. That's it! Jira will automatically move the open issues based on your selection and mark the sprint as complete.
