How to Configure Board in Jira

  1. Navigate to the board you want to configure and click on it.

  2. Click on the three dots (•••) in the top-right corner of the board.

  3. Select 'Configure board'.

  4. JQL (Jira Query Language) filter that determines which issues are displayed on the board. You can edit this filter by clicking on the 'Edit Filter Query' link.

  5. You can set where the board is located, either within a project or on its own.

  6. In the 'Columns' section, you can map your workflow statuses to columns on the board.

  7. Select how you want to organize issues within the board.

  8. Quick filters allow you to create buttons on the board that filter the displayed issues based on specific criteria.

  9. In the 'Card layout' section, you can customize what information is displayed on the issue cards on the board.

  10. Navigate to the 'Card colors' section. You can set rules for coloring cards based on issue attributes such as priority, issue type, or a custom JQL query.

  11. Navigate to 'Working days'. If you need to set specific working days for your team, this can be done in the Working days section

  12. Navigate to 'Timeline' to configure it and manage all types of issues.
