1. On Postman's main workspace, navigate to the left-side panel and click 'Environments'.

2. Select the environment where you wish to create a new variable.

3. After that, go to the table preview and click 'Add a New Variable'. Type the new variable you want to add.

4. Subsequently, specify your preferred variable type. Simply click the drop-down menu next to the newly added variable and pick one from the available choices.

5. Add an initial and current values if necessary. Just enter the details into their respective input fields.

6. Finally, click 'Save' to create and enable the new environment variable.
