1. Open Descript and either upload an audio file or record a new one directly in the app.

2. You can edit the transcript directly to change the words, remove sections, or correct mistakes.

3. In the timeline, click and drag to select the section of audio you want to edit.

4. To cut a part of the audio, right-click and select Cut or press the Delete key.

5. If needed, adjust the volume of specific audio sections by clicking on the audio track in the timeline and adjusting the volume slider.

6. You can enhance your audio with effects like Studio Sound to improve clarity.

7. Click and drag the fade handle to the right to increase the fade-in duration.

8. Once you're satisfied with your edits, click the Publish button in the top-right corner to save.
