1. Head over to the Perplexity website and click 'Sign In'.

2. After logging in, click on your profile picture in the top-right to access your account settings.

3. In the account menu, look for the API section and click 'View All' to see your options.

4. Select 'API' from the navigation menu to access your API dashboard.

5. Fill in the required information about your API usage needs and click 'Save' to proceed.

6. Time to fuel up! Add your payment method and click 'Done' to purchase API credits.

7. Finally, click the '+ Create key' button in the API Keys section to generate your shiny new API key.
