Guide
Open the CMS tab from the left sidebar menu.
Notice a list of all CMS items and their count. Click on the small gear icon that appears on hover.
Scroll to the bottom to find the Delete Collection button. Notice that you will not be able to delete the collection if it is currently being used.
Webflow provides a handy View Connections button that lists all the places it is being used. Click to open.
Expand the items in the list to view.
You can disconnect these items directly from this menu using the small break icon.
Confirm the disconnecting by clicking on Disconnect.
Verify you have no existing connection before moving on to the next step.
If you have no connections and the Delete... button is still not enabled. It is likely due to items still existing.
Notice that we have 2 items of the type Authors. We need to delete these to be able to delete the collection. Instead of the gear icon, click on the CMS Collection Name.
This will open a list of items in the collection.
Click on the Select button to enable selection.
Select all the items by checking the box on the header Name.
Click on Delete.
Confirm your choice by clicking on Delete permanently.
Go back to the CMS Settings by clicking on the small gear icon.
Scroll down to the Delete Collection button which should now be enabled. Click to delete.
Click on Delete to confirm.
You have now successfully removed CMS from Webflow.
