1. Log in or sign up for an account at OpenAI's platform.

2. Click the gear icon located in the top-right corner of the window to open the "Settings" menu.

3. Navigate to API keys."

4. On the API Keys page, select the "Create new secret key" option.

5. Enter the "Name" and "Project" for the new secret key.

6. Select "Create secret key" to generate.

7. Click 'Copy Key' to save it to your clipboard, ensuring it’s prepared for integration.
