Go to Setup and navigate to Object Manager.
Choose the object that contains the picklist field you want to modify (e.g., Contact, Opportunity).
Click on Fields & Relationships.
Select New
Select Picklist and hit Next.
Locate the specific Picklist field where you want to add a new value.
Picklist fields are often identified by a magnifying glass icon next to their name in the list.
Give an appropriate Field name.
Hit Next.
Hit Save.
