How to Create a Matrix Survey in SurveyMonkey

1. Open an existing one in which you want to add a matrix question clicking the ellipsis icon.

2. From the drop-down menu, select 'Edit survey'.

3. In the selected survey, navigate to the 'Design Survey' section and click on the '+ New Question' button to add a question.

4. Select 'Matrix/Rating Scale' from the question type dropdown menu. This question type allows you to create a table-like grid with rows and columns.

5. In the main question text box, enter the general context or instruction for the matrix.

6. Under the 'Row Choices' section, input your rows. Each row represents a specific item, option, or question.

7. Under the 'Column Choices' section, enter your answer choices.

8. After configuring the matrix, click on 'Save' to add it to your survey.

9. Click 'Preview survey' to see how the matrix question will look to respondents. Make adjustments if necessary.
