How to Add an Account in Xero



Guide

  1. On Xero's main dashboard, head over to the top menu bar and click 'Accounting'.

  2. Select 'Chart of Accounts' from the list of options.

  3. After that, tap 'Add Account'.

  4. Provide all the necessary information to set up your account, particularly the Account Type, Code, Name, Description, and Tax.

  5. Once done, review your input and tap 'Save' afterwards to apply the changes.

  6. Finally, a new account will be added to your Xero's Chart of Accounts.
