Salesforce - How to Add Fields to Record Type in Salesforce

Guide

1. Navigate to Setup > Object Manager.

2. Select the object where you want the field to be available (the one associated with your record types). (Example: Account)

3. Click on Fields & Relationships.

4. Click on New to create a new field.

5. Select the Data type.

6. Define the field properties like data type, label, and other relevant settings.

7. Hit Next again.

8. Hit Next.

9. And finally hit Save.
