How to Change Automatic Assignee in Jira

Navigate to the Jira project where you want to change the automatic assignee.
In the left-hand sidebar, click on 'Project settings' and go to 'Details'.
Look for the 'Default Assignee' field in your 'Details'.
Select 'Project lead' and it assigns all new issues to the project lead by default.
Click on 'Save' to apply the new settings.
A notification pops up confirming the change in assignees.
