Salesforce - How to Create an Opportunity in Salesforce



Guide

  1. Navigate to the Opportunities tab and click on the New button.

  2. Account Name - Select the existing account associated with the opportunity. If the account doesn't exist yet, you can create a new one from within this page.

  3. Opportunity Name - Provide a clear and concise name that reflects the opportunity (e.g., "Salesforce Implementation for ABC Company").

  4. Put the Amount and enter the Close Date.(Set a target date for closing the deal)

  5. Select the appropriate stage from the "Stage" picklist.

  6. Type: Specify the opportunity type (e.g., New Business)

  7. Select the Lead source.

  8. Finally, hit Save.

  9. You will get a success message once your opportunity is created.
