How to Merge Shapes in Figma to Form a New Object

Inside your Figma design canvas, select the shapes you wish to merge.
Following that, head over to the right-side panel and click the 'More Actions' button.
Choose 'Union Selection' from the list of options.
After completing these steps, the selected shapes will be merged instantly and added as a new object.
