Guide
On your 'Project' section, go to the 'Timeline' menu.
You'll see your tasks displayed as bars on the timeline. Each task is represented by a bar, and its length corresponds to its duration.
From your timeline, you can click the task box to view its subtasks. The subtask count appears next to the task name.
When you click the task, you'll be directed to the task pane you'll see the subtasks below.
Click the unscheduled subtask and schedule it from the tasks pane.
To add tasks in the timeline, simply click the 'Add task' button and name your task.
You can drag the task in your timeline and place it whenever you see fit.
You can reschedule tasks in bulk by clicking the CTRL key on your PC.
You can multi-select tasks.
Drag them across to where you see a more realistic date on your timeline.
You can also sort your tasks on your timeline by either start date or due date or assignee.
To save your default view, click 'Save view' button.
To set colours on your timeline, click the 'Color:' to choose your colour preferences.
You can choose 'Asana Default', which pulls from other colours you have set in Asana, or you can set your colour logic based on custom fields.
Once you've set up your timeline, make sure to save your changes.
