How to Add a New Status in Jira



Guide

  1. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner and select 'Issues' from the dropdown.

  2. In the left-hand panel, under 'Issues', find and click on 'Workflows'.

  3. Locate the workflow that you want to modify. This workflow is associated with your project's issue types and click the ellipsis icon.

  4. Click the 'Edit' button next to the workflow you want to change.

  5. Enter the name of the new status in the empty field.

  6. Select a category and click 'Add'.

  7. That's it! You have successfully added a new status in Jira.
