1. Navigate to the top menu bar, then click 'Apps'.

2. Select 'Explore More Apps' from the list of options.

3. Search for 'GitLab' afterwards and then select 'GitLab and Jira - GitLab Integration' from the provided results.

4. Following that, click 'Try It Free' at the top-right corner.

5. Tap 'Start Free Trial' afterwards.

6. Once done, click 'Configure' to connect the two apps.

7. Click 'GitLab.com OAuth' and then log into your active GitLab account.

8. Subsequently, tap 'Authorize GitConnector' to grant the necessary permission.

9. After completing these steps, your GitLab account will be integrated instantly with Jira.
