1. Click 'Create' and select 'Zap to start an automation.

2. Click 'Trigger'.

3. Search for 'Slack' and select it as the trigger app.

4. Choose 'New Mention', 'New Message Posted to Channel', or another trigger based on your needs.

5. Authorize Zapier to access your Slack account and select the appropriate workspace.

6. Click the 'Test trigger' button and Zapier will fetch sample data from Slack to ensure the connection works correctly.

7. Search for 'Microsoft To-Do' and select it as the action app.

8. Select an action event and choose 'Complete Task' to your Microsoft To-Do list.

9. Authorize Zapier to connect with your Microsoft account.

10. Select a task for your action.

11. Customize the task details.

12. Click 'Continue' and run the test.

13. Click 'Test step'.

14. Once the test is completed, provide a name for your Zap.

15. Click 'Publish' to activate your automation.
