Salesforce - How to Share a Private Report in Salesforce



Guide

  1. Find the Reports tab and create a New folder.

  2. Give a name to your folder.

  3. Search for the private report you want to share.

  4. Click the dropdown arrow and choose Move.

  5. Select the folder you created earlier and move your report.

  6. Click on Select Folder to move your report.

  7. Back to your report folder (All Folders or Created by Me);

  8. Click the carrot (>) next to its name, and choose Share.

  9. Choose who can access the report. (Users, Groups)

  10. Add the user you want to share the private report with.

  11. Set Access Level: Decide what they can do:

    View: See the report data (most common).

    Edit: Modify the report itself (grant cautiously!).

    Run My User: Run the report under their credentials (for filter security).

  12. Finally, hit Done.
