How to Create Survey on SurveyMonkey with Email Address Required

  1. Navigate to your desired survey and click on the ellipsis icon next to the survey title.

  2. From the drop-down menu, select 'Edit survey'.

  3. In the 'Design Survey' tab, select 'Build' from the left side menu.

  4. From the 'Build' options, click on the 'Email address' button.

  5. Label the question.

  6. Click on 'Options' for the question.

  7. Under 'Require a Valid Email Address', toggle this option ON to ensure that the response must be in a valid email format.

  8. Enter a test response to verify that the survey doesn't proceed without a valid email address.

  9. Click 'Save' to save the question.

  10. Click 'Preview survey' to confirm the email field is working correctly and marked as required.

  11. By including a required email field, you ensure that every respondent provides a valid email address before proceeding, allowing you to contact them if needed.
