1. Visit the OpenAI platform website at platform.openai.com.

2. Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the window to access "Settings."

3. Go to "API Keys."

4. On the API Keys page, click the "Create new secret key" button.

5. Enter the "Name" and "Project" for the new secret key.

6. Select "Create secret key" to proceed.

7. Copy the API key immediately after it is created, as you won’t be able to view it again later​
