How to Multiply Two Columns in Microsoft Excel

Guide

  1. Inside your Microsoft Excel worksheet, select a cell next to the two columns you wish to multiply and then type an 'Equals' sign (=).

  2. After that, type the reference cell containing the first factor of the operation.

  3. Type an 'Asterisk' sign (*) afterwards.

  4. Subsequently, enter the cell reference containing the other factor.

  5. Once done, click anywhere around your worksheet to run the formula and get the results.

  6. Head back to the selected cell afterwards and grab the 'Fill' handle at the bottom-right corner. Drag it downward to copy the formula to the other cells below.

  7. After completing these steps, the values of the two selected columns will be multiplied by one another.
