1. Inside your Microsoft Excel worksheet, find and select the cells containing the data you wish to plot.

2. Following that, head over to the top navigation bar and click 'Insert'.

3. Tap the 'Insert Chart' menu afterwards to view the available options.

4. Under the Line section, choose the specific chart you prefer to use.

5. After completing these steps, the selected Microsoft Excel data will be plotted automatically on a line chart.
