Google Analytics - Creating Events: step-by-step guide
Click on Admin in the left pane.
Find Events.
Click on Create event.
Choose the relevant Data Stream.
Hit Create.
Create a Custom event name and provide the Matching conditions.
You can set Value as URL of the page you want to mark as conversion. (E.g. the Thank you page)
Make sure the Copy parameters box is checked.
Hit Create.
Note: Even though we’ve created our custom event, it will not appear as an existing event until it is triggered.
Once triggered, then we can mark it as a conversion. PS. You can perform a test trigger by going to the thank you page.
