Supademo is a feature-rich interactive demo platform. It's quick to start with, the free plan is generous, and it covers a wide range of use cases, from marketing demos to customer education and training. Its higher tiers add sandbox demos and enterprise governance. For many teams it's a good choice.
But Supademo spreads its features across five tiers, and the jumps between them are large. The two most common reasons teams look elsewhere are the price of HTML capture and the way its AI Demo Agent is billed.
This guide covers seven Supademo alternatives, what each one costs, and who it's for. It also covers the cases where you should stay on Supademo. We build LiveDemo, one of the alternatives below, so we've kept to published facts and linked a detailed comparison for every claim. All pricing was checked on 5 October 2026.
For a direct, feature-by-feature comparison of the two products, see LiveDemo vs Supademo.
Why teams look for Supademo alternatives
These are the reasons we hear most often from teams who switched, or considered switching, from Supademo.
HTML capture starts at $249/mo. Supademo's Scale plan is $50/mo per creator ($38 billed annually), but guided HTML demos start on Business at $249/mo. HTML demos stay sharp on any screen and can be edited after capture, so for many teams they're the main reason to buy a demo tool at all. Paying for a plan five times the price of Scale to get them is a big step.
The AI Demo Agent is billed by usage. Supademo does have an agentic feature: its AI Demo Agent runs demos 24/7 and answers buyer questions. It's sold as a credit add-on on paid plans, with packages from $99. That means the AI bill grows with demo traffic, and it's hard to forecast before you know which demos will take off.
Per-creator pricing adds up on Scale. At $50/mo per creator, Scale costs more per person than several alternatives. When marketing, sales and customer success all want to build demos, the monthly bill grows with every new creator.
Five tiers to choose between. Free, Scale, Business, Growth and Enterprise each unlock different features. Working out which tier you actually need, and when you'll need the next one, takes time. Growth at $450/mo includes 5 creators, which suits some teams and leaves others paying for seats they don't use.
No whitelabel or self-hosting. Supademo doesn't offer whitelabel, and it's a hosted product. Teams with strict data-residency rules, or that want an exit path that doesn't mean rebuilding everything, can't run it themselves.
When you should stay on Supademo
Switching tools costs time. Supademo is likely still your best option if:
- You rely on sandbox demos. Supademo offers sandboxes on its higher tiers, and LiveDemo is weaker here.
- Your team needs enterprise governance and compliance features. Supademo is built to support larger organizations with these requirements.
- Training and customer education are your main use case. Supademo is a strong fit for teams that need multilingual demos and versioning.
- You only need a handful of demos on the free plan. Supademo's free plan includes 5 guided interactive demos and 50 video recordings, more than LiveDemo's 3 published demos.
- Your AI agent traffic is low and predictable. If only a few buyers use the AI Demo Agent, the credit add-on may cost less than a plan upgrade.
If most of these apply, the switching cost probably outweighs the savings.

1. LiveDemo: HTML capture and AI agents without the tier jumps
LiveDemo is self-serve like Supademo, and both let you sign up free and build a demo in minutes. The differences are in pricing and packaging:
- HTML capture from the free plan, instead of from the $249/mo Business plan. The Chrome extension captures HTML, screenshots and video in one flow.
- Pro at $34/mo per creator ($27 billed annually) for unlimited demos and lead capture, compared with $50/mo per creator on Supademo Scale.
- Agentic Demos on the $49/mo Growth plan ($39 billed annually), where an AI agent guides each buyer through the demo and answers questions. There are no credits to buy or forecast.
- AI voiceover and AI text personalization on every plan, including the free one.
- More capture sources: a Chrome extension, a Figma plugin, and macOS and Windows apps.
- Source-available (FSL-1.1-MIT) and free to self-host on every plan. Whitelabel isn't included in free self-hosting; it's a paid option on the Business plan, which is custom and starts at 10 creators.
What you give up: LiveDemo is weaker at sandbox demos, and its free plan allows 3 published demos compared with 5 on Supademo Free. It also has fewer native integrations than Navattic or Storylane, and it doesn't offer digital sales rooms, A/B testing or AI video generation. See LiveDemo vs Supademo and the self-hosted option.
2. Arcade: for polished demos and AI product videos
Arcade is known for polished demos and AI-generated product videos. It bills per seat, like Supademo bills per creator: Growth is $50/mo per seat ($42.50 billed yearly). The free plan allows 1 published demo, and HTML capture is Enterprise only. Arcade's AI helps creators make videos and copy, but it doesn't offer an AI agent that guides buyers. See LiveDemo vs Arcade and our Arcade alternatives guide.
3. Storylane: for teams that need Hubs and A/B testing
Storylane is a full demo suite with sandbox demos, digital sales rooms (Hubs) and A/B testing. Its free plan allows 1 live demo, and Growth is $500/mo for 5 seats, which is where HTML demos start. RepX AI SDRs are priced separately from $2,000/mo. It costs more than Supademo Business, so switch for the extras, not the savings. See LiveDemo vs Storylane and our Storylane alternatives guide.
4. Navattic: for marketing teams that want deep integrations
Navattic is built for demo-led marketing, with a broad catalog of CRM and sales-tool integrations. The free Starter plan includes 1 seat and 1 demo. Paid plans are billed annually as seat bundles, with Base at 5 seats and Growth at 10. Navattic Agents are priced separately. See LiveDemo vs Navattic and our Navattic alternatives guide.
5. HowdyGo: for large teams that want flat pricing
HowdyGo charges a flat rate for unlimited users: Starter at $159/mo and Pro at $399/mo, with 20% off annual billing. It builds HTML demos and sandboxes, with sandboxes sold as a $99/mo add-on on Pro and Enterprise. If many people across sales and success build demos, the flat price can cost less than paying per creator. There's a 14-day trial but no free plan, and no AI agent for buyers. See LiveDemo vs HowdyGo.
6. Folio: for sales reps who live in Gmail
Folio is a simple, low-cost demo builder with a Gmail add-on for embedding demos in emails. The free plan includes 2 demos, Lite is $29/mo per user ($25 annually), and Team is $69/mo per user with a 2-user minimum. It doesn't include AI voiceover, AI personalization or agentic demos. See LiveDemo vs Folio.
7. Walnut: for enterprise sales teams
If you're leaving Supademo because you need more (sandboxes, deal rooms and CSM-led onboarding for a sales org), Walnut is the step up. Ignite starts at $575/mo and Accelerate at $1,550/mo, both billed annually with an annual AI credit pool. See LiveDemo vs Walnut.

How to switch from Supademo
Moving to LiveDemo? Paste a public Supademo demo link on the demo migration page and LiveDemo recreates it for free in a few minutes, so you can skip the re-capture steps below.
There's no standard export format between other demo tools, so switching to them means re-capturing. It's less work than it sounds.
- List your published demos and sort them by views. Most teams find that two or three demos get most of the traffic.
- Rebuild the top demo first. Re-capture the flow with the new tool's extension and copy your step text across. A 5 to 7 step demo takes 10 to 20 minutes.
- Recreate the call to action and any lead capture form, and reconnect your CRM if the new tool supports it on your plan.
- Set up AI guidance if you used the AI Demo Agent. In LiveDemo, Agentic Demos are part of the Growth plan, so there are no credits to move over. Our guide to agentic demos explains how they work.
- Swap the embed code on your website and help center, then repeat for the next demo.
- Keep Supademo running until the new embeds are live, so no page shows a broken demo.
If you're moving to LiveDemo, the step-by-step demo builder guide covers capture and editing with screenshots.
