Custom domain

Share https://demos.acme.com/livedemos/… instead of a LiveDemo link. Available on the Growth plan. Only the workspace Admin can set it up.

Requirements

  • A subdomain you own, such as demos.acme.com. Root domains like acme.com can't be used.
  • Access to its DNS settings.

Set it up

  1. Open Settings → Security & domain → Custom domain.
  2. Enter your subdomain and click Add domain.
  3. Add the record LiveDemo shows at your DNS provider:
TypeNameTarget
CNAMEdemoscustom.livedemo.ai
  1. Click Verify. It can take a few minutes. The status changes from Pending to Active.
Custom domain demos.acme.com pending, with the CNAME record to add and Verify and Remove buttons

HTTPS certificates are issued and renewed automatically.

What changes

Once Active, links you copy in LiveDemo use your domain:

LinkUses your domain
Demo share link (Copy link)✓
Custom links✓
Website embed code✓, https://demos.acme.com/livedemos/DEMO_ID?step=1
AI Demo Agent share link✓
AI Demo Agent embed scriptNo, it keeps loading from LiveDemo
Medium linkNo

URL parameters work on your domain too.

Links you already shared on LiveDemo's domain keep working.

Remove it

Click Remove and confirm. Links on that domain stop working. LiveDemo links keep working.

Troubleshooting

  • Stays Pending: check the CNAME with dig demos.acme.com CNAME or an online DNS checker. The red message under the record shows what LiveDemo is waiting for.
  • Cloudflare: the record must be DNS only. A proxied (orange cloud) record blocks the certificate.
  • CAA records: if your domain has CAA records, allow letsencrypt.org and pki.goog so the certificate can be issued.
  • "Use a subdomain you own, like demos.acme.com": you entered a root domain or a LiveDemo domain.
  • "This domain is already used by another workspace": remove it from the other workspace first.
